Women are being given advice (usually restricting their freedom) on how to prevent male assault. Surely we should be looking to cure the men of such behaviour.
Or, conversely, we should be restricting the men's movements to prevent them from being able to exercise such behaviour.
Just saying.
P.S. I hope this thread doesn't degenerate into a semantic argument re prevention/cure (that was only my click-bait heading), but comes up with suggestions on tackling it in the male arena so women can feel safe again.
Trouble is most measures penalise all men for the actions of a minority. We need decent men on our side, willing to intervene when women ask for help, willing to challenge their fellow men when they are behaving inappropriately, and remembering we are someone's daughter, sister, mother etc and they wouldn't treat a woman in their family like that
Unfortunately we are talking about perverted criminals & if you come up with a preventative measure for that I'm pretty sure you would win the Nobel Peace Prize!
Most men's instinct is to protect those smaller & weaker - notably women & children. But not all men are so inclined.
