Went to this today with daughter and two eldest granddaughters.
Ran into lots of settled snow on the way.
I took my mobility scooter which was a good move. Show not up to past events. About one third of stalls that are usually there. Lots had sold out of produce. I bought Five different liquor including toffvodka and Christmas pudding liqueur, both absolutely gorgeous. I also bought quite a lot of,different cheeses, including a fig and honey and a Brussels sprout one.
Went to see James Martin in the theatre. He was excellent, very entertaining.
When we came out it was snowing quite heavily. Freezing!
Lots of delays on motorways due to volume and roadworks comings.
We all had a great day though.
Yes tonyav it was at the NEC, Birmingham.
It was a bit disappointing in the choices though. Most of drink choices were gin and vodka. No sherry or beers as I could see.
Food limited, no meats, pates, or fish at all.
Usually lots of free samples on food and drink. Very little on food, nearly all cheese, not bad samples on different gin and vodka.
It was a bit rough on granddaughters who had heard our tales over the years of superb free samples to see a bit of a mediocre do.
