How do you spell the word wuss/woose/woos? You know, the word that describes someone who is a wimp? It's not in the dicitonary and I can't find it anywhere else!

usually wuss. I've heard it pronounced to rhyme with either fuss or puss

According to Chambers Dictionary ..the holy bible for crossworders like myself....Wus or Wuss is a term used to address a companion ,mate,pal, from the Welsh ..Gwas..servant.
It also says...Wuss...a weakling,an excessively timid person .
