There is a term used to describe an organisation that is a complete shambles, but I can't recall the correct name.

It's something along the lines of a two bit operation or a three bob outfit...something like that.

Can somebody please help me out?

Thank in advance

Mickey Mouse operation??

Along those lines, but containing a low number and a word possibly beginning with a 'b'.
It’s on the tip of my tongue. Something to do with financial institutions I think. Could be wrong.

Got it!

It's "two-bit".

Apparently it's an American term meaning worthless or insignificant.

The term "two-bit' derives from "two bits", which is an obsolete term for 25 cents, based on an older division of a dollar into eight "bits."

So there you go.

Thanks for the replies. This was bugging me. I can go to sleep now.

Goodnight!
They are usually called 'political parties'.
You had already mentioned 'a two bit operation' in your post, that's why I went for something different!
I noticed it in the question

A level Maff 1968 q9 - X = 2 , take a cone and blah-de blah do this and that to calculate x

and i wrote -" X =2 - given in the question, can I have full marks please?"

and wrote an 'extra' answer just in case

Fatty Barrett (maff)gave me a really odd look
A really odd look because the task wasn't to find the value of x, but to show how you would work out the value using the cone blah blah. Good job you did that as well.
