Oh, annea.  I feel for you so much.  I am so sorry.  A very  wise vet of mine told me that the more we put into our beloved companions - themore it hurts when they leave before we do.  

Like so many others, I have been through this and I truly feel for you.

Lost a friend who was also the last of my remaining cousins on my Mums side a few months ago.

The last member of the generation before me, my father's sister died last month aged 97.  To be honest it didn't affect me like the death of a pet.  She had an amazing life with good health physical  and mental until her last days.  She was still doing the telegraph cryptic crosswords.  I obviously haven't inherited her genes.

 Physically I'm a wreck so I'm determined to at least try keep whats left of my brain working !!
