Once again it's that time of the year when the 'plebs' get to hob-nob with the , Royas, hoo-ray Henrys and snobs, and funny hats abound.*

As one would expect, all 7 races from Ascot make up the ITV7 and, because it's such a special occasion (allegedly), the Jackpot is a massive £100K.

Neither myself nor Togo are particularly fond of Ascot as a course, but i have no doubt he will also be trying his luck at the royal meet.

Best of luck to all others who do likewise.

*If racing's not your cup of tea, i have no doubt there will be the inevitable 'fashion parades' in between the eventsπŸ˜‘

Are there any "stealing money" chances?

Question Author

None that i can see, TTT. That's probably because there are no odds-on favs on view at the meeting.

The best 'offer' i can see is money back 'as cash' (as opposed to a free bet) up to £10 max if your horse loses in the opener. I may take advantage of that once i've had a chance to have a good look at the race.

If you're doing an e.w. bet in that race, only the 'win' part of the bet will be refunded.

Paddy Power is offering a free £1 bet on any race at Royal Ascot.

All 4 of my L15 are at Ascot. No win singles - it's Ascot!

3.05;   Cowardofthecounty @ 11/2 - 6 places

3.45;   Regional @ 5/1 - 6 places

5.05;   Pied Piper @ 8/1 - 7 places

6.15;    Fox Journey @ 9/2 - 6 places

20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £38, 4 winners = £4,103.

Of course i've taken full advantage of Sky's cash back offer and thrown a tenner at Facteur Cheval @ 7/2 - if it wins, it's £45 back, if it doesn't, i get my tenner back. Win win.

And of course, of course, of course i've had a little e.w. punt on Up The Clarets which, @ 80/1 (6 places) doesn't stand a chance. Then again, neither did Austria, last night.

Hoping Saffie can give Ouzo a good ride and nab a place in the 5.40 - e.w. @ 28/1.

ITV7 (& Placepot), above qualifiers plusNotable Speech and Israr.

The very best of luck to all.

Having a look as ever. Making my choices was a piece of whatsit after spending the morning on Local Gov. websites and sifting through the emails and forms. Bleedin mare. ITV7 split into two punts and I am off out for a walk and a gargle..... ****E/W Acca, Trebles & Doubles. ###Win Trixie. Good Luck.

The calligraphy on the invite in the TV ad is superb.

I'd like to think it isn't computer generated. See some of it here.

Question Author

True to form, i drew a blank.

Question Author

Taking a leaf out of your book today, Togo, with an e.w. doubles, trebles and acca punt - not enough handicaps at Ascot.

2.30;   Enchanting Princess @ 10/1 - 6 places

3.05;   Highbury @ 3/1

3.45;   Breege @ 11/1 - 4 places

6.15;   Shadow Army @ 5/1 - 5 p

ITV 7; above 4 qualifiers, plus; Inspiral, Beshtani* & Roaring Success*. £1 e.w. acca to break the bank at Sky - not Monte Carlo (and first 6 in Placepot).

* denotes 20p L15 and 2 x £1 e.w. accas with, Lucky Lover Boy and Hillsin, both at Worcester.

3 x £1 e.w. bets on; Royal Rhyme, Daysofourlives and Roaring Success.

Best of luck, all.

I have done my usual too. The punt also allows for a cover on the remainder if the first goes down. Off out again shortly to look for this heatwave they keep threatening us with. ****E/W Acca, Trebles & Doubles. ###Win Trixie. ITV7 done also.Good luck.

Not quite the same 'blank' as day one - managed to get a little back fom one of my e.w. bets.

Swings and roundabouts though, as i drew £70 off 2 bets on Scotland's match last night; tenner on @ 1/1 that Scotland scored and a £5 bet builder @ 9/1 on McTominay, Adams and Shaqiri all to have at least one SOT, plus at least 3 yellows. Made up for my bet on Turkey to win 2-1 going bust in the 97th min.

ITV7; Moving Force*, Poniros**, You Got To Me**, Kyprios, Volterra**, Bellum Justum* and Divine Libra*. £1 e.w. acca.

* denotes £1 e.w. Treble, 50p e.w. Tixie for a poss (£38 e.w.) £3,406.

** denotes 50p Patent and 2 £1 e.w. Trebles for a poss (£24 e.w.) £933.

First 6 in ITV 7 also in Placepot.

Best of luck, all

Summer has arrived here just in time for the solitice. Maybe we should pain Stonehenge orange every year   ...  the weather has certainly improved since. πŸŒžπŸ˜‚ I am off out to enjoy it whilst it lasts, so on handy. You may have noticed over the last few weeks that I have been "following" some of the runners from the newly formed Wathnan Racing group. After a couple of places on Tuesday I passed over their runners yesterday and you know what happens   ...  They win the first with a 22/1 winner. Haha was it ever any different. Never mind try again today. ITV7 done and the PPot and JPot. Two bets from the 7 races again. *****E/W Acca, 4 timers and Trebles. ##E/W Double.  Good Luck.

Don't forget to enter the £25,000 sweepstake for Saturday's 3:45 race, it's now open.

I got Kinross - not bad!

Question Author

I drew Believing, currently a 13/2 shot.

I drew Believing as well. Did you see me deftly pick the "wrong" one in the first?

Question Author

I did the same in the 2nd, Togo. Beckett won it but not with the one i went for.

That is what you call a get out of jail card. When I got back after a wander and a pint I did an E/W treble on the last 3. Then I used 2 free £5 bets from 365 and Skybet(2 X £2.50) win on the last. There is justice out there if you hunt it down.

365 even let me do a 25% win boost. Haha. 🀣

Back on the Ascot roller coaster again. Usual punt with the ITV7 done, plus the P.Pot and J.Pot(rolled over). ****E/W Acca, Trebles & Doubles. ###Win Trixie. Off out for an hour or two. Good Luck.

Well done with the late bet, Togo. πŸ‘

All 4 are at Ascot;

3.45;  Porta Fortuna @ 5/1 - 4 places

4.25;  Bague D'or @ 12/1 - 6 places

5.05;  Indelible @ 9/2 - 8 places

6.15;  Vantheman @ 17/2 - 7 places

20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £60, 4 winners = £7,767

ITV7; above qualifuers, plus Mountain Breeze, Jasuer and Space Legend. £1 e.w. acca.

Also done Hayley's mount, Battle Queen, e.w. @ 20s to 8 places - 365 only go 16s to 6 places!
