For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'm always wary of stories involving schools when parents go on TikTok or social media or go off to the press with a compo face picture to attack the school and give one side of a story, especially when the story changes- "it was a detention, it wasn't a detention but her name was on the board". The parent's writtent communication gives the impression she didn't pay much attention at school.
If poppies have been banned, that's sad. But we don't know what issues there had been with pins or what rules had been issued. Schools sometimes overact but on the whole are just applying the school rules- rules that if the parent or child don't like they should either raise it through the governors or they should change school.
