Is my tattoo healing correctly?

I got a tattoo just over 2 weeks ago, and all scabbing has gone - but the black parts of the tattoo are whiteish looking. Does anyone know if this is still part of the healing process - or did they just not do the tattoo properly?

Also I was using tattoo goo as told and I've got these red dots (like pimples) on and around the tattoo and it's quit itchy at time - is this normal?

the pimples are just clogged pores - either from the goo or sweat. this will happen as long as you have the tattoo (I have a few and they sometimes itch and I get raised little bumps along the edges, but its just sweat and usually occurs in the summer).

The "whiteish" hue may just be the result of the scab coming off so skin will be pale, but you should call your tattooist just in case, they get these questions all the time so they should be nice about it.

people heal in different ways, it sounds like its healing properly, give it another couple of weeks and it will be ok, as for the tattoo goo, you might be allergic to it, try vaseline instead, the black is turning to white on ur tattoo because its ready to drop off, whatever you do dont scratch it or pick at it else the colour will come out, just leave it be and it'l be fine. xx

I agree - everyone has a different healing process.I would be concerned if it was noticabily infected but sounds pretty normal to me.

Agree with ginger dont touch the scabs.
