I use AVC to convert Youtube tracks to MP3's, but it has stopped working.
Can anyone suggest a safe reliable alternative that works please?
A highly reliable and detailed software just takes acclimating to command line use. https:/
£24 for a lifetime licence but, in my opinion, well worth the money. It's what I use nowadays:

(You can download video or audio with it).
If you use Slimjet as your browser, there's a facility for downloading videos (or the audio from them) built into it. [Simply click on the 'Download video' button underneath the video you want]. It can be rather slow at times (which is why I prefer the 4K product that I've linked to above) but it works:

There are loads of websites which allow you to download video and audio from YouTube (including the one linked to by Barry above). However most of them are configured to allow you to get your first few downloads without installing anything but they then require you to install a small utility to do the job. Such a utility has a nasty habit of including some form of malware, typically producing lots of pop-ups on your screen, so proceed with caution if you go down that route!
