Ash Hall

Has anyone heard the phrase 'It's lit up like Ash Hall' (when people leave lights on all over the house, or in reference to 'over-the-top' illuminations). I suspect it comes from the Stoke area - is there such a place as Ash Hall?

Yes there is such a place as Ash Hall in Stoke on Trent but I live in Stoke and have never heard this saying.
