Reynolds Girls- I'd rather jack, only remembered this as it was on Pop Years the other day, and God did I cringe!

Some of these aren't one hit wonders

Daphne & Celeste - 3 songs reached top 20

Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe reached No. 1

Let Loose spent 62 weeks on the charts with various songs.

That is not to say they weren't tacky ... just not one hit!!

On the other hand ..... apart from World in Motion which was quite catchy at the time .. everything by the England World Cup squads should qualify!

right on machecoul - "back home" by the England world cup squad in 1970. what a truly wooden TOTP performance......
Junior Senior & Move your feet. I couldn't believe it when I saw the video and who was singing - what a mismatched pair that was.
Blimey Machecoul, next you'll be telling me that The Reynolds Girls single went platinum and they've recently just finished a sell out world tour.
Gotta be 'Matchstalk men and matchstalk cats and dogs' by Brian and Michael - classic
Babylon Zoo - Spaceman

Chesney Hawkes - One and Only

Baha Men - Who Let the Dogs Out

OMC - How Bizarre

Aqua - Barbie Girl
Owen Paul-You're my Favourite waste of time!

most euro pop songs qualify here.....

who can forget Im blue dab a doo dab a da !

I bought sunshine on a rainy day! I was one of my Happy songs when getting up for work.

The New Radicals - Get What You Give, you can still hear this one on tack commercial radio.

Alex Party - Dont gimme your love (or was it life)? your love/life dont gimme your love/life--yeah eyeah yeaaa

Scarlet - So you think this is just another boruing love song (or how ever it went)

Joan Osbourne - What if God was one us, *dum dum dum* just a slob like on of us, *dum dum dum*, just a stranger on the bus, *dum dum dum* trying to make is way home *dum* nobody calling on the phone *dum dum* 'cept the pope maybe in Rome. (wow! shockingly I remember all that, nice)!

Oh and what was that awful song that sounded something like this:

"Faaaaaarmer , a bullofdgogfodsodfroewofdos (or some kind od gibberish), I say wwwaa, a lick your bum bum now!"

Absolute numpty in the video with cheap sunglasses and an over sized bright white un buttoned shirt on.

Snow "informer". TUNE!

Soho "Hippy Chick"
The worst in recent years just has to be 'No Way No Way' by Vanilla. Sheesh!
I quite like the fact that not only are seveal of iwbus's suggestions not one-hit wonders, in in several instances they're not even the songs most people remember! (How many folks still recall "Old Pop In An Oak", eh?)
There was that Ketchup song by Las Ketchup I think and The Fast Food Rockers did some Pizza Hut song. There's a food theme going on here.

How's about ;

Ryan Paris - Dolve Vita

Jimmy the Hoover - Tantalise

Al Stewart - The Year of the Cat

Clint Eastwood - I Talk to the Trees (good grief !)

Sheila E - The Belle of St Mark

Both girls are still alive, both happily married with Aisling the mother of two young boys and Linda the mother of one boy and twin girls. This followed their successful world tour on the back of their platinum sellng single "I'd Rather Jock" the follow up to "I'd Rather Jack" (It should be said that these sales were mainly in Scotland).

Although the sisters may be out of the spotlight, they have achieved somewhat of a cult following due to "I'd Rather Jack" despite the song's cheesiness. The song and the video can be found on the "PWL Gold" CD & DVD compliation, which was released in November 2005 in the UK. It can also be heard as a recurrent on PWL Radio.

(There you go Boo)
