There have been a few cases in the news over the last few years of divers being left behind by their boats, so it's not unheard of.
With regards to the point about a camera being found in a shark's stomach- it's apparently not uncommon for "rubbish" to turn up in the stomach of a shark- tin cans, bits that have fallen off boats, I've even heard of part of a car number plate.
youngrusscle- sharks on the whole are fairly harmless to us, as long as you obey some sensible rules. They are fabulous creatures, sadly on the decline, with many species close to becoming endangered. I have had the good fortune to have seen quite a few while I have been diving and they are quite majestic- the biggest problem is getting close enough to take a decent photo, as they are quite wary of divers.
