usually used in the context of (something) is the best thing since sliced bread. Meanind new.novel, wonderful But really a nonsense!

I guess pre-sliced bread, when it was first marketed, was a real boon to the hard-working housewife - perfect, even slices every time without all that labour and finger slicing that went into it.
