I'm trying to find the exact wording of the proverb which says something like 'Evesdroppers never hear any good of themselves'. Can anyone help?

Goes something like "Eavesdroppers rarely hear any good of themselves", meaning if you listen in to someone else's conversation, anything you hear regarding yourself most likely won't be complimentary.

S'alright, daff. Glad to help.
"An eavesdropper seldom hears good of himself" is the version I have most commonly heard.
