Where does the phrase 'Higgldey Piggldey' come from? And have i spelt it correctly.

Its source is not certain, but there is a suggestion that it refers to pigs and the way they lie together in a completely irregular fashion. The double format is just a sort of vocal 'game' along the same lines as 'harum-scarum', jiggery-pokery etc. The normal spelling is 'higgledy-piggledy'.
