downloading pictures...

I have a small problem. Hopefully someone can offer some advice please. I have a goodmans G-shot 3022tft Digital Camera. For some reason I can now no longer transfer my pictures off the camera onto the computer via memory card or USB.

When the Camera is connected via USB, the screen beeps like it has recognised it and the egg timer comes on then goes off. It then comes up New hardware found, G Shot 3022tft, but then nothing happens.

I have removed the programs and tried to reinstall the software disk, but it keeps coming up "installshield engine (ikernel.exe) has blocked this action. Access is Denied.

So now I can`t even reload the software.

When the memory card is inserted, the green light for memory cards comes on and nothing happens.

Is there anyone out there who knows an alternate way or if there is a block, or something disabled to help me out?

Any ideas are gratefully received Thanks!

P.S, The computer went bang last week so I had a new motherboard, processor, PSU and case. I was also told it had been cleared of virus, if this helps.

Have you tried using your new USB ports with any other hardware?
Go to the Goodmans website and download and install the drivers and software for your camera model. Also download any patches or updates from their site. While you're on the site look at the FAQ's and support pages (someone else may have had the same problem).
