I've never tried whisking it, I don't think you would need to. it would just be more work! I smeared some on the back of my hand and watched what happened. It dried very quickly and turned into a kind of skin. I think it just acts as a barrier, giving the sore part chance to heal.
I did find sudocrem worked for minor rashes, but sometimes, for no apparent reason, my little one gets, well, it's almost like a burn really, very very sore and the cream doesn't give it chance to dry out. I think it must depend on what he's eaten or drank. there must be a combination of a couple of things that just make his urine very strong. Unfortunately, I've yet to find out what they are!
