Frankly I wouldn't trust this one to an Internet site and would go to your own doctor and get it checked out.
Better to suspect something and be wrong, than to suspect nothing and be wrong.
I am with Kit totally on this. Go dirctly Do not stop or pass go
Kitty, the advice given seems to be that you should see your doctor.
To find out more about pins & needles check out this link which will confirm that advice and give you the reasons for it.

It's an Australian site but I suppose that their pins & needles are the same as ours.
It could be a number of things...bad circulation, diabetes...you really should visit a doctor.
Kitty try http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/ they have a number that you can phone for advice.
there is an internet site which is really very good. you have to log in like you do here, but it is free and confidential. just go to a search engine (I use Google) and type in Well-aware that should get it for you

To get a answer from a qualified GP I would recommend www.netdoctor.co.uk, also for health information purposes I would recommend www.thesite.org
