I've heard loads of variations on what people call their remote controls, what does everyone call theirs?

I just call them: The buttons
I call them all "Mine" !!!
Pass me "the Thing" usually works.
I call it the modge....got it off my friends dad and it just stuck!

Hacker Clacker! (Or hacker for short). When my son was younger he got a wrong mark at school for labelling a remote control on a picture as a hacker clacker - I don't think the teacher could believe it when we told him that that's what they are called in our house!
In our household we call it a DINGER
My mother calls hers a DOOFER
I call it "That bl**dy thing" - especially when it's slipped between the cushions on the sofa & the sound on the TV suddenly goes really loud, just as my husband's dozed off in the armchair!

'Dibber' seems to have stuck. My dad calls it the 'hand-held'.
WoW didn't know there was so much variation!
Always been 'the box' to me, mate calls his the 'Blonker' tho!!??!?!

My 91 year old Daddy used to call it "the steering wheel"
Gasman - I do the same as your mother - the Doofer! That's when I've got it - when the other half has it, its called His and hidden from me!
M-I-L calls it 'Plooker' much to the annoyance of her offspring. A mate refers to his as 'Frank', as in Mr Zappa. In our house it's just the remote. Do we lack imagination?
