hammer house of horror????

When I was about 8 I remember a show which I thought was the hammer house of horror. On one particular episode this young girl had a birthday party and some one had bought a machete, all of a sudden blood dripped through the ceiling etc. It later turned out it was the father trying to get a reaction as it was for a film he was making? At the end they have moved abrouad she gets the machete and whacks it in his chest while he's asleep. I cant believe now that this kind of theng was shown at about 7pm as it scared the crap out of me. Does anyone else remember this and was it hammer house as I have tried to find it. Although there is one called the house that dripped blood it deosn't seem to be this story.

Most of the above reminds me of the House That Dripped Blood episode too.
I think Hammer House of Horror would have been on at 9pm rather than 7pm.

There was a follow-up series called Hammer House of Mystery and Suspence, it may be an episode of that that you remember.

I found it. it's called the house that bled to death. ooohhhh gave me nightmares for weeks.

I'm sure they were on later - I remember staying up late on a Friday watching them. The one that I remember well is The House That Bled to Death and also one with Denholm Elliott in where he has a recurring nightmare about killing his boss and he's trapped on a building site with a wrecking ball. There's also one with a hitchhiker with a dodgy finger nail and he causes the car to crash.

Some were recently repeated on Friday night about 11pm on ITV 3 before they started Tales Of The Unexpected ............ and there's another strange one !

I only remember this one and the one about a boy who has a toy rabbit but he cuts it open and its guts fall out. I was only 9 at the time (I checked the date of them I was 9) I dont remember it being late but I maybe wrong.

I used to love this series and have previously posted a question about it myself. i watched some of the re-runs on sky earlier on this year. I missed the house that bled though but it was one that always stuck in my mind. It starred nicholas Ball aka Hazel.
My favourite was the one whrere the family had the car accident and it involved a midget in a mac, scary stuff! The dad had a rotton finger nail. ring any bells anyone?

spanner, I have had HHofH memories haunt me for years and years!
The 2 i remembered and my stories were:
-Werewolf one with Diana Doors, my young aunt was babysitting me and right at the end my mum and dad come home so i had to rush up to bed before they knew i was there (must have been later than 7pm!!) and I was sooo scared that there was a werewolf was at window!!!

-Voodoo picture one where one by one they all died.
I always remember when the lady in the mini crashed into the pond in the lanes and here hubby drove past it when police were dragging it out. ANYWAY recently I found out they were all filmed around here where I live and I drive past that pond in the lane every day to and from work - It still scares me now!!!!

i remember a one where a bunch of people stuck a knife into this doll an african voodoo doll, they became cursed and all died on after the other, does anyone know what it was called?
