2. Indirect Discrimination

I thought that but then I thought there was probably more to it but hey if we both thought that then it must be right :O)
thanks buddy.
What about the other question then?
Hi twmas - agree Q2 seems a bit obvious but checks out as a valid legal term:

http://www.diversiton.com/workplace/understand ing-regulations/indirect-discrimination.asp

Don't know about Q1 unless some law was passed in Spring 1963 but that would be a really dodgy clue, so we'll have to keep thinking . . . . ☺ja
Wouldn't "indirect discrimination" need two 'in's?
e.g. In indirect discrimination
The other has cropped up before, but I don't recall any answer ever having been offered.
..Sorry meant to post..in answer to Question 1...see my above reply..don't know if it is what you are looking for.
Hi Muffet - I see your point but reckon we must allow some poetic licence and rely on the 'visual effect'. More than likely the setter is non-pro or club member.

I have just turned into a pumpkin. G'night folks!

Thanks guys, ref Q2 because it is a dingbat "say what you see" type answer i don't think it would need any kind of quiz knowledge as such. I think when I get the answer it will be a case of kicking yourself as it is so easy!
I even started looking into what happened 43 years & 7 months ago but then the question would change every month.
ref Q1 I think JA is probably correct(?)
Thanks.
The suggestion from paulineward was interesting in relation to Edward Kennedy, because John F. Kennedy was 43 years 7 months old when he became President. I can't think of any way in which that answers the question, though.
Q1 - Nothing to do with JFK, but how about "Age Discrimination Act"? (coincidence having same word in Q2?).

Q2 - I agree with Muffet, try something else like "direct synonym about or around INdiscrimination"???

Now you've got 2 iffy answers!

Thanks folks, all great ideas!
Q1: JFK died on 22nd November 1963 - almost 43 years ago to the day but then US presidents have always been surrounded by coincidences?
Phil7 said "how about Age Discrimination Act?" but this didn't come out until very recently?
BUT.. In 1963, Contracts of Employment legislation was passed AND the quiz was set by our HR department so it's all coming together (I think). Don't know what the 7 months refers to though (what month was it passed - can't find it on google!)
Waaahhhh - my brain hurts!
