What do people mean when they refer to 'pretzel logic'?

A pretzel is a kind of 'biscuit' - for want of a better word - baked in the twisted form of a knot. 'Pretzel logic' is, presumably, what might also be called 'twisted logic'...ie a thinking-process which might make perfect sense to the person doing the thinking but not much sense to anybody else!
The expression seems to have received added value when George W Bush - with all his powers of logical thinking - nearly choked to death on a pretzel.in 2002.
As an alternative Quizmonster, what about the fact it has big holes in it.

i wonder if it might be related to circular logic, as a pretzel is bent back on itself in an aleph type way. ( circular logic being where the internal logic holds up because it is purely self referential....90% of the arguments for the existence of a deity fall into this category)
