What does spin online means?

I thought at first you must be referring to an internet version of political spin (as in the question above). But Google shows me that "spin online" can be the WWW version of many things - including news about science (SPIN = Science, Policy, Information, News); a popgroup called Spin; a golf ball; and a fiendishly complicated form of mathematical analysis. So, you may have to define your question more clearly (or search Google yourself).
