I havent used it for ages but i was "backing up" a dvd today and the message kept popping up during the final stage before it starts burning saying "The page file was not big enough and dvd shrink could not continue" i have never had this before and i usually find it a breeze to do any dvd with this program, i dont want a recommendation to another piece of software i would like to know how i can fix the problem i have with shrink, anyone know?
The page file is what windows uses when it it runningi low on system memory ie ram. Basically it is just an allocated amount of space on your hard drive. To increase it go Start control panel>system>advance in the performance box click settings > advance ,on the vitual memory click change & in the size boxs ,change intial size to one & a half times the size of your current ram, & in the max box to three time s your ram.Click set then ok. You should find this sees you right.
alfgbt is correct but increasing your memory would be the best bet when you can . also try closing any programes running by shutting them down on the task bar to free up some memory.
It could be that in trying to borrow memory from your hard disk, the program found that there was not enough free disk space available. I f this were the case, then you would have to get rid of some hefty files from your disk.
