yorkshire saying - leek geen as a possers 'head
1 Answers
Just having a discussion with friends and we've queried where the saying "Leek geen as a possers y'head" my grandma always used this to describe someone who was a bit forward with the ladies (a bit of a creep). Just wondering where this saying came from and the translation of it. Any ideas?

I had not heard the other bit, but a posser is used for agitating the laundry in a dolly tub. It is like a three-legged stool on a long handle. I suppose the thought was of someone who looks three ways at once.
The phrase was used to describe girls as well as men!
