I Know of no other word that is used in so many different situations, but where does it originate from?
I know what the word relates to these days but has it always had the same meaning or has it been changed over the years?

There were earlier coy 'hints' about the word hidden away in written material. One of those was a satirical poem, written before 1500, that was about the Carmelite friars of Cambridge. A line in code reads, once it's translated': "They are not in heaven because they f... wives of Ely".
Some people claim it came from the German word 'ficken', meaning 'to strike' or 'to copulate with'. However, The Oxford English Dictionary - the etymology 'bible' - can see no reason to suppose there ever was any such direct connection and simply claims the etymology is unknown. It seems likely, however, that both words, the English and the German, may have had a common root in the ancient Germanic/Teutonic language.
Certainly there is no truth in the idiotic idea that the word is an acronym based on the phrases Fornication Under Command (or Consent) of the King' or For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge'.

It baffles me as top why swear words are even deemed offensive, after all they are simply a string of characters the same as fcuk or squirrel.
Who said one day that "you know that word f***? it should be banned" i mean if you think about it, its no more strong that stupid or even sex, but its frowned upon evertime it is said.
Personally i think its overused only because its put in place by neds to mask their inability ro communicate on any level. Every second word is F*** this and F*** that. For that reason only i don't like it, mainly because i want neds to burn in hell or be sent to Iraq, whatever costs us less.
