i have very kindly been invited to a work buddy's evening reception to celebrate their wedding. However i cannot go due to prior personal commitments. Any ideas where i can find a suitable RSVP template?

all rsvp means is ''respond sil vous plais'' (sp)

so just write a nice letter thanking them, explain why you cannot come, but would have loved to, and wish them well.
you could send a congratulations card with it.

a template for a friends wedding is a bit formal, especially as you are not going - might seem ungrateful and cold

your local newsagents will have acceptance and regrets cards. Choose an informal one(Regrets)

You should reply with the same formality as that of the invitation. If the invitation was very formal ( is that why you are asking about a template?).....

Keep the wording / tone the same as that on the invitation. If the bridegroom is a work buddy you can always tell him personally why it is that you can't go.
