Kipper had no literary pretensions, as far as I know. He was one of Sooty's friends in the children's television series. He slept a lot. His friend was Butch Bulldog, a rather fierce creature. With Sweep and Soo (a very bossy panda girl believed to be having a dalliance with the bear star) they invariably attempted a complicated cooking exercise that ended with their friend Harry Corbett being squirted with cream or a water jet. Aah! Happy days.
