where do you guys find those proverbs in code such as bliteotb? is it school or online? thank you much.

They're usually competitions people set (usually for charity). In my area at least, if, say, the villages schools wanted to raise some money, they'd sell competition sheets for �1 and they'd take all the proceeds. The sheets would be full of codes and you'd have to work them out and submit them back. Obviously the winning entry pulled out of the hat first would win a donated prize.

Another common competition like the BLINTEOB is the numbers and letters one. For instance the clue would be 55CIADWJ and the answer would be 55 Cards In A Deck With Jokers.
