Ahoy Shipmate for hello.

Adious Amigo for goodbye.
How about "Good morning/day/afternoon/evening"
And "Goodbye" seems to fit the bill.
Old fashioned greetings perhaps, it depends on your age i suppose.
It depends. If it's to someone I know, no matter how vaguely, I greet them with 'Hi, how's it going?'. If it's a stranger I just happen to be walking past I'll just say 'morning' or whatever time of day we're at with a nod of my head. Unless I'm back over in Switzerland, when it's phonetically 'grutze'.

For goodbyes, it's always (as I've just been reliably informed by Mr NiceCuppa) 'good luck' or 'see you later' even when it's to complete strangers who I never will (see late I mean). Why I'm not sure, but hey.
whaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My greetings for hello are actually "Alrite Cheese" or "Alrite Fudge" - but only to my friends...

My goodbye is plain old "See Ya Later" ...but i do like Cheerio...!
"I'm away laughing on a fast camel"
(otherwise known as goodbye)
