This is an old saying like the German EIGENER LOB STINKT!!! And the only thing that STINKT (stinks) is this saying!!! If you come from a disfunctional family coupled with adherence to this saying, you will be a slave to the need for external praise much like a Crack Addict in the slums of Mexico City (or Los Angeles)!!!
Praise yourself! Love Yourself! Love your work! If the praise and the love of yourself doesn't begin with you, you WILL HAVE WASTED YOUR LIFE!!!
