Questionable Questions

Is it just me or are people really posting some daft questions on here? They are either incredibly vague (ie. Where can I find an advert with a banana in it?), rude (no pleases or thankyous), obvious (where can I download some music?) or blindingly obvious (Asking for the track listing of an album less than 2 months old? Hello?! Amazon anyone?) Maybe I'm more net savvy than others and being over-critical but it seems a simple Google would answer many of the queries posted. Also, why do people not search the site before asking repeat questions about Bran Flakes etc..? I realise there is no answer to this so I have reversed up my own logic alley. Ouch.

Have you used Google recently? It's getting harder and harder to find things on there, as spammers and advertisers have worked out how to get their links to come up first. Just try searching for something like "free ringtones"... if you can find a link through Google with those keywords which actually takes you a place where you can get free ringtones, and not a site where you have to pay for them, then I'd be VERY surprised.

Some people won't even know what Google is (at least it makes the rest of us look really clever when we find the answer in about .5 seconds). I do agree that some questions do make me wonder whether the person had even thought about looking for themselves. My pet hates are people who don't rate and/or at least give thanks for answers and "repeat" questions - especially those on the same page. You don't even need to search the site - when you ask your question, a list of similar questions comes up!
