Betjeman Quote

Here is a challenge that I doubt anyone can help me with. In this Christmas edition of the Mail there is a crossword with the entire periphery of the crossword being a quote from John Betjeman in about 15 words. The only word that I can identify with any certainty is about the 4th word and it seems to be December. Any one know a quote that fits this description? I can't give more info as I was attempting this with the family yesterday and it remains at their house but someone somewhere will have completed it lets hope that frequent this site!

Lazy and Stupid me. I have found the answer here as I knew i would someone else has already answered it for me. Thank you and even the word I thought I had and I thought was December turned out to be remember. Great too much Chritmas cheer! Thanks again
