Winston Churchill
2 Answers
Some years ago I noticed a saying attributed to Winston Churchill. It was in German and was framed on the wall of a customer's office. Alongside was the English translation: "Some people see the boss as a mangy fox which should be shot. Others see him as a cow which should be milked continuously. Only a few see him as a horse which pulls the cart" Can anyone confirm that it was by Winston?

Some regard private enterprise as if it were a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look upon it as a cow that they can milk. Only a handful see it for what it really is - the strong horse that pulls the whole cart.

Thanks shaneystar2. Very interesting. It was a photograph of the saying on my customer's office wall. The saying appeared to be written on the bark of a tree. He supplied Wellman kitchens obtained from Germany . I assume that they may have given it to him.
Do you know if Winston used this in a speech or is it from one of his writings.
