Creepy Dreams
I had a couple of miscarriages, and around the time that is supposed to be their birthday I have creepy dreams. Last night I dreamt that some guy ate one of my children and started to taunt me. After I woke up and slept again I had another dream of one of my friends from high school and I told her what happened. Is there any connection and what does this mean? Its too the point where I am scared of sleeping again. My miscarriages happened in '02 and '03. Are they trying to communicate with me in some way?

The timing of these dreams is obvious - the birthdays. The first one looks like your mind is trying to tell you that you are "eating yourself up" and torturing yourself over these miscarriages. The second (follow-on dreams like this are not uncommon) sounds like your mind telling you to seek help and share your feelings with someone you trust. Both are excellent advice! Please ask your GP for advice on bereavement counselling, or contact the Miscarriage Association (www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk) - and good luck
I agree with Vanilla. I'd say that the miscarriages are very much on your mind at these times. When we sleep our brain tries to sort through all the stuff that's gone on all day. If your thoughts are full of sadness and anxiety about your miscarriages, your dreams will be full of anxiety too and the images will be related to children, babies, loss etc. Couselling could really help you to deal with the feelings so that you can move on and put these sad losses behind you. Good luck.
The fact that you are having dreams shown that you haven't "got over" the miscarriages - not that that's an easy thing to do, just mean that it's obviously still on your mind and your dreams are a way to express that. Dreams let your body organise subconcious thoughts and that's probably why, it's not them trying to communicate with you, and to keep thinking so will just make you more sad. Try the counselling, good luck.
