Our neighbours are having a tree removed from their garden and have to replace it with a smaller one, and have been recommended a silver birch. Bit it says to buy

an EH tree of 4-5m in height and diameter 15cm

Now the height and diameter make sense, but what on earth does the EH bit mean?

That's a new one on me ! I'm used to seeing the letters og (grown in Open Ground) or 3L (being in a 3 L container) but EH is puzzling me now...... European H.... ?
Eye Height ..it's something to do with scale which is very complicated :)
eh = eye height ??? surely that depends on what distance you are away from the tree ?
And how tall you are.?

yes does seem complicated, tried googling 'eye height' and tree and got lots of things about calculating height of tree. we reckoned it might be english heritage or eurepean something or other...
