I've jsut heard the song "with you" by Chris Brown. Am I hearing wrong or does he call his girl "boo"?

Has anyone else heard this word?

Boo is an American term for a boyfriend or girlfriend, as in the song "My Boo" or in Nelly's Dilemma, "Even when I'm with my boo"..

it's actually beau, from the French (came to America from French settlers in the deep south, hence its popularity among black culture), its meaning was originally partner (as in "here comes Madonna and her latest beau"), but is usually spent & pronounced 'boo' in rap culture.
