My Friends Kitten - Sneezing & Breathing Problems
My friend needs some good advice!
After they purchased there adorable kitten 'Rocky' they notice the cat sneezing and greenie slime coming from it's nose. Took to the vets inform it had slight cat flu and ear mites! Medication was given, but Rocky has now developed breathing problems and is still sneezing - Is this normal with cat flu? If so, how long will it last? Rocky, also has difficulty in bringing up his fur-balls. They have been giving medication for this, but no improvement has been seen. Please advice best course of action!

Shop agreed to pay excess, but the kitten is still sneezing and having difficulty breathing, is this normal for cat flu to effect the breathing or would this not be connected with cat flu? Thank you for your advice
Hi bunny - I'm afraid that's one very poorly kitten, can you get your friend to take the kitten to the vets first thing tomorrow morning. Your friend can phone in for an emergency appointment. If it was my kitten I would be very worried indeed. I do hope it recovers before too long, it should be enjoying its kitten days, and not feeling so ill. It must be so miserable poor baby. Please let us know how things progress.
My cat has permanent runny eye and sneezes. Vet said he's probably a carrier of cat flu even though he's had jabs. She recommended kids Echinachea pills to boost his immune system over the winter - instead I bought Immune Plus drops & cat vitamins from pet shop. He's been much much better and hardly sneezes at all now. Still has runny eye but miles better than before.
