buckshee

what, does anyone know does buckshee mean? it has always meant "free" or "for anyones use" to me around the black country. This may be correct but where does it originate?

I believe that it may be connected with the word 'baksheesh' (also spelt bakhshish, backsheesh, or backshish) which a present of money, or a tip, in the East, from a Persian word).  It is the cry of beggars in Arab-speaking parts of the world, if some films I have seen are to be believed.
