Can anyone tell me where these monkey's originated and are they inthemselves considered evil to have in ones home.? Thank you.

Although this question has already been answered about where these monkeys come from, it should be noted that 'evil' in it should really be something like 'naughtiness' or 'a bit of misbehaving'. They simply refer keeping the eyes, mouth and ears shut to little misdemenours.
