getting signature for proof of ID (financail not for passport)
5 Answers
Due to the conveyancer of my property sale putting the wrong address in my ID check i now have to get an ID form signed to verify my ID
I cant go to the solicitor as i am hundreds of miles away so reading the letter and form it states i can use a regulated person. ie banks manager, financial adviser, solicitor
so i cant use my solicitor for reason above, i dont have a financial advisor at moment so i call my bank up.
The bank are saying that i the person who signs it must be someone who has known me for atleast 12 months. what? so why have i got to take in passport, ID, letters etc as per the form if thats true?
can i get them to sign the papers for me, can i heck.
so any ideas where i can now go, if it has to be a regulated person and i dont know anyone in that field of work so how can i get the form completed?

dzug, the conveyancer CANT do it again, because of the money laundering regulations, they can only apply once so that it doesnt look dodgy (they put the wrong address in first time)
If it was doctor, etc then Id have got it done as easily as i had my passport forms done.
Thanks for the answers though but i have now got it sorted. One call to the branch where i am moving to and all sorted. As its to certify paperwork and sign for ID they can do it without having to know me. Agreed with me that my local branch were talking twaddle
