Be true to yourself OR To thine own self be true, into latin??

All on-line translation services will offer wildly differing opinions on the actual translation of your phrase. Following the guidance of the venerable "Q" (a venerable contributor), I would suggest that, unless you are simply using the translation for you own use and not as an inclusion that will be offered to an audience (of any size), that you seek out a scholar or ecclesiastic for a proper rendering... otherwise you may suffer embarassment.

Our local High School here in the U.S. that still offers Latin classes, as well as a nearby Junior College where an instructor is available and the older Priest at All-Saints Catholic Church would be sources if I were so inclined...

I agree with Clanaad totally...if reciting to an audience it is always best to be certain..unless of course the audience have no idea of the Latin language in which case you will appear to be a genius ..good luck
