pronouncing my first name
54 Answers
i think my parents pronounce my first name wrong, so when ever people read my name out, the o is heard more than when my family or i say it.
but i think that if i had never seen or heard the name before and i had to read it out, i would like people who don't know me say it.
is that odd, without acually saying what my name is.

According to Jimmy King its Neeco. My name is Jacqueline, and my mum always called me Jackaleen, but many people pronounce it Jackalyn (although I had a friend at school who was actually called Jackalyn). The shortened version causes much discussion too, I am a Jacky, but often its written Jackie, Jacqui or even Jackey but if its going to be shortened I think it should be Jacque. Then of course there's Jac (as in Naylor from Holby) or Jack which is what most of my friends call me and was my uncle's name (real name John) who I was named after, but expected to be a boy so was going to be John!
