Don't worry Bobbi, they don't get it free.

It is entirely possible you're paying theirs as well!

Just had a Lib Dem activist knocking on my door to hand out leaflets I tore it up in front of him his face was an absolute picture so we will not be getting your vote then he said !!!!!!!!!!
LOL wish I'd seen that^^^
Question Author
they certainly come out of the woodwork when it suits them..lol
Boobi,
As we live down a country lane,we never get leaflets,or even live canvassers.
I suppose we should regard that as a good thing?
I must confess, that although I have been voting for over 66 years,I shall be "spoiling" my voting paper this time;it's the only way I can show my disgust at all these identically corrupt politicians.
The Lib Dems rang me up last week, before the election was even announced.
Him: Have you decided which party you are voting for?
Me: Yes thank you
Him: Oh right, have you decided if there is a party you definitely wouldn't condsider voting for?
Me: Yes......go on guess............

Occasionally you get a good one. A case in point is Alan Beith who has been Liberal and then Liberal Democrat MP in my mother's constituency since the 1970s. He was a friend of my late grandmother, and definitely one of the minority who enter politics for the right reasons i.e. to do his best to represent his constituents...

I agree with you there Mark, he was a gent, as was John Smith
Ooh, I am always doing that"
BOBBI not Boobi.LOL
"Should have gone to specsavers!"
Indeed though, for the record, I didn't mean to imply that he was dead or anything like that!

mr veritas, unless you are an upper class man over the age of 25, i wouldn't spoil your paper. Every other part of society over the age of 18 has had to fight for their right to vote and lives have even been lost.
Question Author
Mr V is in his 80s molly
and it was me who spoke about Alan Beith past tense Mark...sorry,,lol
mollykins,
I am 87,and fought through WW2 to defend my(and everyone's) right to vote or not vote as they see fit.
I have always voted up till now,but spoiling my paper is the ONLY way I can see to express my indignance at this corrupt ship of fools.
Spot on Mr V they do not deserve our votes !!!!!!!!!!
Mr V, do you not think that by forgoing your right to participate in the democratic process you thereby forfeit your right to complain about the result...?
This is the way Democracy works in this country.

Not all politicians are in it for what they can get out of it.

Don't vote, but then don't complain when some Bill is passed that p1sses you off.
Mark,
Since I retired 22 years ago I have received NOTHING of benefit per se from either party, all they do for pensioners is to make life more difficult..
So I shall not vote, and I shall not complain after.
Fair enough.
