We have recently had our bathroom redone and have a vinyl floor. Before the vinyl was laid, we had the floor boarded so that the floorboards wouldn't 'show through'. Over the past couple of days I have noticed that the floor has 'bubbled' and when I walk on it I can feel the floor sink down to the floorboards.Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it please?
I would think the most likely cause is the vinyl has now stretched and is touching the walls in places causing it to lift. Check round the edges to see if it is. Ideally it should be stuck down with adhesive.
You mean before floor vinyl layed, you had the floor "hard-boarded"?
If this is not laid with expansion gaps, in humid areas it will swell or bubble up.
