I suppose I'll have to settle for that, Gran. Would have loved to know the context, though, being a boring old Latin freak.

I feel a right prat now. My translation was wrong. It should have read, "Quintus hurried through the crowd of slaves". If my Latin teacher were still alive he would kick my fundament.
Many slaves like Quintus. but in the Latin sentence it is said in passive voice so literally it would translate: Quintus is liked by many slaves.
