Why do people respond to posts from trolls?
It only keeps them in the latest posts list giving them the oxygen of publicity when they don't deserve the oxygen of oxygen!

That's what some of us keep suggesting, calibax - one single-dot response from one ABer will keep them off the front page, then after that everyone else needs to ignore them.

lumination, on the AB homepage is a list of unanswered Qs, and troll stuff stays there if nobody answers it. Putting a dot in them moves it off the front page, so to speak

Lumi, on the AB home page there is a list of unanswered posts, making one answer takes the post off that list. I didn't know that myself until recently.

Yes, Calibax, I agree, but some seem to be labouring under the misconception that posting a 'dot', 'period' or 'full stop' will somehow get rid of them.

REPORTING them is the only way to rid the site of them. Go and do your duty.

We know the dot/full stop doesn't get rid of them but it does remove it from the UNANSWERED threads on the front page.
