Hijack By Extremist Loonies

We have two threads currently active which illustrate what happens when perfectly reasonable movements get hi-jacked by extremist loonies.

1. Animals Rights.  The perfectly sensible anti-cruelty movement hi-jacked.

2. Gender bending.  Surgery to correct genuine dysphoria hi-jacked by misfits.

 

P.S. 3. Another example which invades our forum from time to time is cosmetic surgery for genuine cases (e.g. hare lip, burns victims) hi-jacked by loony celebs with too much money demanding bigger lips, tits, etc.

Our Austen fans will understand what I mean when I say it's a case of Marianne taking over from Elinor.
