According to the news the foods of yesteryear are now becoming popular again - prawn cocktail for starter and jelly for pudding.  We've never abandoned prawn cocktail - love it - and although I'd forgotten all about jelly. I wouldn't object to having it for pudding.  How about you?

I remember having green jelly when I was about four at a friend's house.  I was so excited!  We always had red jelly at home.

Lime - my fav but I can't find it anymore.

Having prawn cocktail tomorrow, 4 different sorts of prawns, wild salmon and salad with a rose marie sauce.

Dieters never gave up jelly... The sugar free ones form the base of the only sweet treats you could have guilt free.  As for prawn cocktail... It's always been there in the background. Black forest gateau anyone?

We're not into cakes and biscuits - but I must admit I can be tempted by a slice of Black Forest - with double cream.

I always loved making traffic light jellies for kids' birthday parties and kept lots of smallish glasses for that very purpose. It wasn't the quickest of desserts - all that waiting for one layer to set before tackling the next - but they looked great.  Prawn cocktail has never been off the menu here.

Rowntrees Jelly cubes.

Grandad used to give us kids a cube to suck on.

You don't very often see liver on restaurant menus these days either. Prawn cocktail a favourite here too

Jelly and ice-cream.

Rocky/ I have bought lime jellies in Tesco and also lemon ones which I use to make a cheesecake.
