Two New Memorials...
One will honour those who died in the Tunisia beach attack, and a second will commemorate Britons killed in other terror attacks overseas.
Yet still nothing to remember someone hacked to death on a London Street?
Is the Government guilty of milking the Tunisian tragedy?
Rather than 2 memorials, wouldn't just one be better, for all those killed by terrorists, and then Lee Rigby's could be included?

The Government have decreed the memorial has to be in the North. I know the ideal location. Many of the victims had football club connections. One was an ex-Birmingham City player.

Therefore it should be in the park at the National Football museum in Manchester. And should include ALL terrorists victims.
1. Tunisia football connections
2. In the North
3. It was built with regeneration money after the Manchester bomb.
4. Lee Rigby was from Greater Manchester.
AOG,
See 4. Above. A monument including Lee Rigby would be less prone to attack near The Football Museum because
1. It includes the other victims, Bali etc
2. It is not in Woolwich
3. It is in a busy part of the City.

And I don't know why Lee Rigby's death has been elevated in some people's mind to almost the worst we've ever experienced. Any mention of memorials or silences and whose name comes up? Lee Rigby. There are many others who have died in equal atrocities, the 7/7 bombings, Lockerbie the list is endless. They all suffered. what happened to him was indeed sickening but he was a soldier.
Talbot,
I am against a memorial or even 2 for just the Tunisian victims only. I am in favour of a National one for forgotten victims like those killed in Bari and Lee Rigby. This is a news forum, and this is news, so it is perfectly natural that I post on it.
The football museum is just an idea, not a popular one by the sounds of it.
I look forward to seeing where the Government choose to locate these monuments. Looking at the geographic spread of the victims, Scotland, Wales , Sussex, it will be hard to find somewhere that satisfies the familes. Do you have a selection?
